Nine arrested in connection with Pokhara twin blasts

Police have arrested nine people on suspicion of involving in Wednesday evening's twin blasts at Sabhahriha Chowk in Pokhara.

The identity of those arrested has not been revealed yet as police said the investigation was in initial stage, reports said.

Six people including two women and a minor were injured in the two blasts that came within the gap of half an hour. Four persons have been undergoing treatment at the local Fewa City Hospital and two others at Manipal Teaching Hospital. All of them are said to be out of danger.

It was the first bomb attack in the western region ever since the Maoists entered the peace process two years ago. nepalnews.com Aug 07 08
