Maoists have resorted to physical attacks on NC leaders: Sushil
Citing the attack on Dilendra Prasad Badu on Wednesday, acting president of the Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala has claimed that the Maoists have now resorted to physical attacks on the NC leaders.
Addressing a function in mid-western district of Dang Wednesday, Koirala said that unruly activities of the Maoists and its youth wing, Young Communist League, are inviting a situation wherein mobilising the Nepal Army during the constituent assembly polls would be necessary.
Koirala claimed that the YCL attack on Badu was failed attempt to murder him. "Such incidents will necessitate the mobilisation of the NA to ensure the security of the leaders during the polls campaign," he said.
Giving the instance of the meeting between Maoist leaders and royalists recently, Koirala further said the Maoist were more royalist than Sujata Koirala since she had no connection with the royalists. nepalnews.com ia Feb 06 08
