Matrika, too, rejects single Madhes demand
Even though he does not see eye to eye with the Prime Minister on most of the issues concerning Madhes, Forest Minister and Maoist leader Matrika Yadav has supported PM Girija Prasad Koirala’s position of refusing according single province in Madhes.
Stating that it was impossible to grant single Madhes province, Yadav urged all the Madhesis to take part in the Constituent Assembly (CA) election to institutionalise their rights.
“If we are true leaders of Madhesis, there is no alternative to take part in CA election,” he said at a programme in the capital, Sunday.
He, however, did not lose the opportunity to criticise PM Koirala.
“Nobody comes to the dialogue in this environment. Everyone is aware of their rights and they will not back down without getting those rights. The government must seriously consider their demands,” he said. nepalnews.com sd Feb 18 08
