The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the volume of petroleum supply to end the acute fuel crisis.
The NOC informed that on Thursday alone it distributed 655,000 liters of petroleum products to various petrol pumps in the city.
The corporation has said that it distributed 219,000 liters of petrol, 341,000 liters of diesel and 91,000 liters of kerosene.
The NOC has further informed that it has imported 71 tankers loaded with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) or cooking gas.
In recent days, administrations in bordering districts had to clamp curfew to transport tankers carrying petroleum products as their supply situation had been paralysed following indefinite strike in Terai region. nepalnews.com sd Feb 22 08
