Curfew lifted in some districts

Local administrations in some Terai districts have lifted curfew orders as demonstrations by members of the United Democratic Madhesi Front began to diminish on the 11th day of an indefinite general strike called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front.

Morang district administration lifted curfew in Biratnagar from 10 Saturday morning. Similarly, curfew imposed in Siraha has been lifted from 5 am and in Saptari from 7 am. In Birgunj, the local administration lifted curfew for few hours and continued it after 8 a.m. intended to supply the foodstuffs and petroleum products to Kathmandu and other parts of the country.
