Secretary General of the INTERPOL Ronald K. Noble has expressed support to Nepal in controlling criminal activities.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at Baluwatar on Friday morning, Noble appreciated the role Nepal played in exchanging support in the effort of the INTERPOL to control criminal activities across the globe.
Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula and Defence Secretary Baman Prasad Neupane were also present during the meeting.
The INTERPOL official also held discussion with senior officers of the Nepal Police today on strengthening coordination and exchange of information.
This is first visit of high level INTERPOL official to Nepal and incidentally the visit has been arranged soon after Nepal deported infamous kidney kingpin Dr Amit Kumar to India without any trial in Nepal. nepalnews.com ia Feb 29 08
