Winter session could end on Wednesday
The ongoing winter session of the parliament could end on Wednesday.
Speaker Subas Nemwang held meeting with chief whips of the parties in the parliament to decide about ending the winter session.
Reports say they have agreed to end the session on Wednesday.
Speaker Nemwang is also learnt to have consulted with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala regarding ending the session.
The winter session of the parliament had started on November 19. It passed the third amendment of the interim constitution declaring that the country as federal republic subject to endorsement by the first meeting of elected Constituent Assembly (CA).
Meanwhile, an international parliamentarians conference is being held in the capital from Wednesday. Participants from 13 countries will be attending the conference, which is being jointly organised by Ex MPs' Club and Universal Peace Foundation. nepalnews.com sd Jan 16 08
