Maoist student union to take part in FSU election

The pro-Maoist student union has decided to take part in Free Student Union (FSU) election slated to be held on February 28 in Tribhuwan University and affiliate colleges across the country.

The All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU-Revolutionary) had earlier stated that they would not take part in FSU election unless its rules and regulations were amended.

However, now that the election date has been fixed by the university, the ANNFSU-R has said it will make use of the election to create favourable political atmosphere.

According to its general secretary Himal Sharma, the organisation’s central committee will make a detailed decision regarding their participation at the polls. nepalnews.com sd Jan 28 08
