Rs 4 million looted from bank customer in Kathmandu
An armed gang looted Rs 4 million from a customer of Nepal Investment Bank at New Road at around 12:15 pm Tuesday.
A police official at Janasewa Police Office, New Road, told Nepalnews that four or five robbers attacked Raju Tamang with khukuris and snatched away the cash he had drawn from the bank minutes ago. The robbers fled with their loot within a few seconds.
The incident occurred when Tamang, a security guard of Nepal Share Markets and Finance Limited (NSMFL), was returning from the bank with the money belonging to his office.
Tamang who sustained severe injury in his head has been undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
