Bureaucracy for offices of president, vice president set
While the constituent assembly and the political parties continue parleys for president and vice president, for whom election will be held on Saturday, the bureaucracy is busy finalising the size of staffing for the offices of the president and vice president.
The government had decided Shital Niwas as the office of president and Bahadur Bhawan as the office for vice president of the country.
According to a cabinet decision, a secretary will lead the bureaucracy at the office of the president. The secretary will be assisted by four joint secretaries and six under secretaries.
The office of the vice president will have a secretary, a joint secretary and an under secretary.
The secretaries are likely to be finalised Thursday with consent from Girija Prasad Koirala, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Jhala Nath Khanal.
Foreign Ministry will begin vacating Shital Niwas from Thursday shifting temporarily to Narayanhiti Palace.
