New alliance will be counter-productive: Dr Bhattarai

Senior leader of CPN (Maoist) Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai has said the new alliance of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum would take country will be counter-productive.

Terming the alliance as unholy and unprogressive, Dr Bhattarai said it has been formed to counter his party from taking the lead of the new government, as mandated by the people in the Constituent Assembly elections.

He further said the political game staged during mid 90s has repeated again at a time people have been waiting for progressive steps on Nepal's development.

Dr Bhattarai, after casting his vote to choose country's first president at the International Convention Center (ICC), also said his party would go to people to inform about the political gambling behind the scene.
