The newly elected president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has said that his election as the head of the state marks the victory of democracy.
"This is the victory of democracy. This is the victory of all Nepalis people," the president said, giving a short response to reporters after he emerged out of Baluwatar – where he went to meet with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Monday evening.
"I want to thank all the members of the Constituent Assembly," he said.
