VP placed second in protocol ranking
The government has amended the protocol ranking to make vice president second highest in the order of precedence.
Earlier, the cabinet had placed vice president in the fifth position.
However, in view of practice in other countries, the government amended the order of precedence.
As per the new order of precedence, President will have the highest protocol ranking followed by vice president, prime minister, chief justice and Constituent Assembly (CA) chairman. nepalnews.com sd Jul 22 08
