Maoists to make key decision on govt formation
In the aftermath of their electoral debacle in the presidential polls, the Maoists are holding a key meeting, Tuesday, to decide their future course.
According to Maoist sources, they are holding the meeting of the central secretariat to forge new strategy in light of the emergence of new alliance among Nepali Congress (NC), Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF).
Senior Maoist leaders had been saying that they have lost the moral ground to stake claim for leading the government after their candidate lost in presidential election.
Some of the Maoist leaders have categorically ruled out the possibility of their forming the next government.
The meeting of the central secretariat is expected to make a final decision on whether they will make efforts to form a new government. nepalnews.com sd Jul 22 08
