Bull gives way to Bear as NEPSE drops 12.77 points

The stock market suffered a slump after several weeks of staggering performance as its index lost 12.77 points to reach 972.77 points on Thursday, the last day of stock trading.

A total of 508,623 units of shares worth Rs 435.6 million were traded through 2,966 transactions this week.

According to group-wise trading data provided by Nepal Stock Exchange, all the major indices suffered losses at the close of the trading week and they include commercial banks which lost 14.35 points to reach 1001.81 points. The indices of hydropower group, finance and insurance companies also saw a fall on the last day of transaction.
