Two ATMM cadres gunned down in Bara

Two armed cadres of Akhil Terai Mukti Morcha (ATMM), an insurgent group active in Terai region, were killed in an encounter with the police in Piparpatte VDC of Bara district early Friday morning.

Those killed in the clash have been identified as Birat Avtar, the Bara-Parsa in-charge of ATMM, and Jitendra, reports said. The clash started after ATMM cadres opened fire at a police team led by an Inspector.

Police have recovered explosives, homemade pistols and bullets from the clash site, reports said. nepalnews.com June 06 08
