Gupta threatens to paralyse the entire country if Madhesi demands are not met
A senior leader of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) has threatened to paralyse the entire country if Madhesi demands are not met by the seven parties.
Speaking at an interaction programme in the capital, Sunday, Jaya Prakash Gupta, co-convener of MJF, said, "We will be compelled to announce another Madhes agitation. We will not only obstruct the Constituent Assembly but also paralyse the entire nation to force them to meet our demands.
For the past one week, Madhesi parties have been paralysing the CA meeting demanding that the seven parties incorporate their demands like autonomous Madhes province and collective recruitment of Madhesis in key organs of the state in the fifth constitution amendment bill.
The Madhesi leaders have asked the seven parties to incorporate the letter and spirit of the 8-point agreement they had signed back in March. nepalnews.com sd Jun 29 08
