NSP-A and RPP-N decide to join the poll fray
Pointing at the eight-point pact between the government and the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP-Anandidevi) has decided to join the election process.
The NSP-A led by Anandidevi Singh had decided to boycott the election amid agitation in Madhes. In a statement issued by Singh, Saturday, the party has said that the deal is a step in the positive direction towards consolidating the rights of Madhesis and ethnic groups.
The party has urged the government to fully implement the agreement.
Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP-Nepal) has also decided to participate in the April 10 election for Constituent Assembly (CA).
The party led by Rabindra Nath Sharma had earlier announced that it would not take part in election if Madhesi groups do not participate in it.
Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) led by Surya Bahadur Thapa, too, has similarly changed its position and has decided to participate in the election. nepalnews.com sd Mar 02 08
