NEPSE registers marginal gain
After a month of slump, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index registered a marginal gain of 0.87 points this week propped by a moderate rise in the share prices of commercial banks.
According to the data provided by NEPSE, its index ended at 756.76 points on Thursday, after opening at 755.89 points on Sunday. The total transaction in the stock market stood at Rs 447.3 million, with 3,886 units of shares having changed hands in the bourse.
Group-wise share trading data shows that commercial banks posted a marginal rise while insurance group, hydropower and hotel group suffered heavily. nepalnews.com ag Mar 02 08
