NRNA establishes its Finnish chapter

Nepalis in Finland have formed the national coordination committee of the Non Resident Nepali Association amidst a function organised recently.

The adhoc committee announced in presence of NRNA International Coordination Committee (ICC) chairman Upendra Mahato, vice president Ram Thapa and ICC member Jibanath Lamichane, is headed by Dr Shambhu Prasad Shah.

Devi Dutta Sharma has been given the responsibility of vice president, Shyam Babu Mahato as general secretary and Lila Nath Silwal is treasurer of the 17-member adhoc committee.

The Finland committee expects to hold its first convention within a year and initiate steps for legal registration in that country.

Many Finnish who worked with Nepalis or have attachment with Nepal attended the function and expressed hope of better relation between Nepal and Finland at people's level through NRNA. nepalnews.com ia Mar 05 08
