Janamorcha candidate abducted in Kapilvastu

A little known outfit called Samyukta Janatrantrik Mukti Morcha has abducted Janamorcha Nepal’s election candidate in Kapilvastu district.

Brij Bihari Sukla, the Janamorcha candidate from Kapilvastu-3, was abducted from Dohani area when he was participating in a publicity campaign last night.

Morcha’s district in-charge, who identified himself as Rajguru, telephoned local media persons Saturday morning and claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. He said Sukla was abducted after he refused to withdraw his candidacy.

Sukla’s whereabouts remain unknown while the police have said search for him is going on.

This is the first time an election candidate has been kidnapped.
