Bear hugs NEPSE again
The bear held a tight grip on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) for yet another week as its index shed 14.18 points to end at 758.70 on Thursday, the last day of stock trading.
The stock market had opened with the index at 772.88 on Sunday, following a meager gain last week.
A total of 317, 800 units of shares were traded through 2,709 transactions to record a turnover of Rs 328.06 million this week, a 25.55 percent decline in terms of transaction amount compared to last week.
Among the gainers this week were insurance companies which rose by 2.46 points to 772.15 points and trading group which gained 2.66 points to 164.98 points and finance companies.
