PM assures security to business community
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said the government has taken seriously the concerns of the business people regarding their security.
Talking to the representatives of the business community in his hometown Biratnagar on Monday, Koirala said the government would take all necessary steps to create an atmosphere wherein business entrepreneurs could operate without fear.
A delegation of Morang Chamber of Commerce and Industries submitted an eight-point memorandum to the Prime Minister, demanding that the government guarantee industrial security, reduce load shedding hours and provide security to the business entrepreneurs, among others.
Prime Minister Koriala, who arrived in Biratnagar on Saturday, also met with Armed Police Force (APF) AIG Sanat Basnet today and learned about the security situation in the eastern region in the run up to the constituent assembly polls.
