Mahantha Thakur, chief of the Terai Madhes Loktantrik
Party (TMLP) has expressed surprise over the remarks
made by Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala that the
government will not hold any more dialogue with armed
Terai outfits.
PM Koirala had said, Tuesday, in Biratnagar that in
view of the approaching election, the government will
not spend time holding dialogue with anyone.
Thakur expressed sadness at the comment saying that it
was against the eight-point agreement recently inked
by the government and the United Democratic Madhesi
Front (UDMF).
"Such comments that are against the spirit of the
agreement, will only help to add uncertainty over the
election," said Thakur in a statement.
Thakur has appealed for full implementation of the
eight-point pact. nepalnews.com sd Mar 12 08
