Eight killed in Kalikot tractor accident

Eight persons were killed when a tractor met with an accident on the Karnali Highway in the mid-western district of Kalikot last night.

The Lu 1 Ta 8101 tractor heading to Surkhet from Jumla slipped off the road and fell several hundred meters down at Khairibihani area of Daha VDC, Kalikot district. Nine people were traveling in the tractor.

Reports quoting Dil Bahadur Malla, the only survivor, said the tractor lost balance on the narrow road and plunged into the ravine. Malla saved his life jumping from the tractor.
