Prachanda as the next president of Nepal, senior
leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba has
eyed the position of prime minister.

Talking to journalists in Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur
district, Monday, the former prime minister Deuba said
he will be the successor of the prime minister Girija
Prasad Koirala.
"The Maoists have projected Prachanda as next
president. Our party Nepali Congress has stated in its
manifesto that there will be powerful prime minister.
I am going to be the future PM," he said.
He said that NC was committed to preparing a
constitution that is democratic and inclusive.
Deuba has reached the far-western district to campaign
