Lapcha to fight the election for the first time

Lapcha community is very happy as candidates were selected from Lapcha community from Mangalbare of Ilam for the first time in Nepal for the CA polls, state run news agency RSS reports.

In Mangalbare, parties have made five Lapchas as candidates in the CA proportional election in Ilam.

There are only 5,000 Lapcha people that too in Ilam only. This is the first time, no one had been candidate before, said Advisor of the Lapcha Upliftment Forum, Bir Bahadur Lapcha.

The candidates are Bimal Lapcha of CPN-Maoist from Samalbung, Sakuntala Lapcha of CPN-UML from Jirmale, Tikaram Lapcha of Fikkal from NC, Bhim Lapcha of Fikkal from CPN-Unified and Dikila Lapcha of Panchakanya from Federal Loktantrik National Forum.nepalnews.com ag Mar 30 08
