Mother, daughter still missing after 5 years

The condition and whereabouts of a mother and a daughter who went missing after being arrested by police authorities in Rautahat district five years ago has still not been known.

A group of plain-clothed policemen had arrested Rupa Sapkota, 40, and her pregnant 19-year-old daughter Menaka Sapkota from their home in Dumuriya-2, Sindurredhari about five years ago when the Maoist insurgency was at its peak.
