Three die in road mishap

At least three persons have died when a truck met with an accident in Khaskusum VDC of Banke district Saturday night. Eleven other passengers were also injured in the accident.

The truck with license plate no Bhe 1 Cha 1188 was carrying timber and was heading to Kohalpur. Reports quoting eyewitnesses said that the truck had overturned at a place called Sikta, but it was not immediately known what had caused the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Nara Bahadur Pun, Narendra K.C and Satya Narayan Chaudhary. While Pun died on the spot K.C and Chaudhary died while being treated for their injuries at the hospital.

In rural areas villagers often use trucks meant for supplying goods for travel purpose.
