India's confidence in Maoists considerably low: Narayanan
India's National Security Advisor has said that Nepal's southern neighbor has a very low level of confidence in the Maoists.
He also openly declared India's preference for Nepali Congress, according to a report in CNN-IBN website.
"Ahead of the Constituent Assembly elections in Nepal, India has for the first time openly declared its preference for the Nepali Congress," the report said quoting National Security Advisor MK Narayanan.
Narayanan is reported as saying that India's confidence in the Maoists is considerably lower.
"We have put a great deal of faith in Prime Minister (Girija Prasad) Koirala and the Nepali Congress. We're unsure as to where we stand with regard to the Maoists despite professions on both sides that we can work together," Narayanan said. nepalnews.com sd Mar 30 08
