Thapa dissolves central working committee of RJP
Stating that he owns up the responsibility for the party's defeat at the recent election, former prime minister and president of Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) Surya Bahadur Thapa has dissolved the central executive committee and central working committee of the party.
In a statement he issued on Sunday morning, Thapa has said that he had to dissolve the committees based on the 'need, situation and circumstances.'
"I want to inform all that the void created by the dissolution would be filled immediately," Thapa has stated.
Thapa's party failed to win even a single seat in direct election. Thapa himself lost from his traditional stronghold of Dhankuta district.
The RJP has bagged three seats under the proportional representation category. nepalnews.com sd May 04 08
