No constitutional problem in govt formation: CJ
Amidst continuing debate over constitutional hindrances for formation of the government, Chief Justice Kedar Prasad Giri has clarified that there won't be any constitutional hindrance to do so but called on the parties to go through consensus.
Speaking to media persons after felicitating the newly elected officials of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in Kathmandu Wednesday, Giri said, "I do not see any political impasse. The consensus will work."
He opined that two-third majority must be sought for formation of the government only when the parties failed to reach consensus.
He stressed on the need to strengthen the independency and competency of the judiciary in the new constitution that the CA will adopt. nepalnews.com ia May 08 08
