Prachanda warns of revolt
Maoist chairman Prachanda warned of revolt if his party was barred from leading the new government.
He said the seven-party meeting scheduled for Friday would pave way for formation of new government claiming that people had given the Maoists a mandate to lead the new government and draft a new constitution.
Prachanda further said the people will sweep away all if anyone creates a hurdle on the day the constituent assembly declares Nepal a republic. The task has to be completed by May 28.
"On that day, Nepali people will really become sovereign for the first time in history, and feudalism will come to an end once and for all," he said.
He stressed on the need to begin economic revolution with the completion of political revolution in the country. nepalnews.com ia May 09 08
