"Pro-republicans have won the election and they have the power to declare republic. We accept that fact. But we urge them not to declare republic in haste because that could have far-reaching impact on nation," Thapa said at a press meet, Tuesday.

He said that in a void created after uprooting monarchy, problems like ultra leftist movement, foreign interference and disintegration would become challenging.

The RPP-Nepal has won four seats in the 601-member Constituent Assembly (CA). It is the only party that is overtly pro-monarchy.

The RPP-N has said that it will introduce a motion favouring monarchical democratic system in the first meeting of CA. nepalnews.com sd May 21 08
