Nepal thrashes Guernsey in a warm-up match
Nepal outclassed Guernsey by 202 runs in a warm up match played at Guernsey Island prior to their ICC World Cricket League Division V tournament.
Nepal batted first and accumulated 277 runs losing seven wickets in 50 overs. Vice Captain Paras Khadka contributed 63 runs from just 42 balls while Shakti Gauchan made 77 runs in 50 balls.
In reply, Guernsey were all out in just 71 runs.
Skipper Binod Das, Mehboob Alam and Raj Kumar Pradhan claimed two wickets each while Gauchan, Sanjam Regmi, Khadka and Basanta Regmi took one each for the visitors.
Nepal will play against Mozambique, the United States, Germany, Norway and Vanuata in Group A of the ICC World Cricket League Division-V to be held in Jersey. nepalnews.com bt May 21 08
