Irate students vandalise five dozen vehicles, transporters impose strike

Students enraged over lack of textbooks in the market resorted to vandalism in Bharatpur, Chitwan on Sunday.

The rampaging students vandalized 56 vehicles parked along Bharatpur-Ratnanagar highway.

The students were angered by the inability of Janak Education Materials Center to make available their textbooks on time.

The transport entrepreneurs have said they have suffered losses to the tune of Rs 10 million due to vandalism.

The Narayani Transport Entrepreneur’s Association has blocked roads and imposed strike demanding compensation for the losses. nepalnews.com sd May 26 08
