Ruling parties to form high-level political committee
The top leaders of ruling parties have reached an agreement on forming a
high-level political committee authorising it advisory role on running the
government.
A meeting of the top leaders of the six ruling political parties held
Thursday morning decided to form the political committee within two days.
All six parties will have one representative each in the committee.
The committee will get final shape in the next all-party meeting scheduled
for this weekend once the parties send the names. The parties agreed to
choose the head of the committee on the same day.
At the meeting held in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal
informed the coalition partners about his visit to New York to attend the
63rd general assembly of the United Nations and bilateral talks held with
the leaders of different countries on the sidelines of the UN session.
The six-party leaders also discussed ways to ease supply of food and
control the rise of price of daily consuming goods during the festival
seasons.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to free all political prisoners. For
