NC warns Maoists against veering towards 'totalitarianism'

The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has warned the Maoists against veering towards 'totalitarianism.'

Speaking at a press meet, Sunday, a day after its ten-day-long central committee ended, acting president Sushil Koirala said that the NC will support or oppose the Maoist-led government based on its activities.

Party spokesperson Arjun Narsingh KC said that it won't be acceptable to NC if any move is made to interfere with independence of judiciary, army, police and civil service.

He informed that 12th general convention of NC will be held in a year.
