‘Refugee children are at risk’
 Roz Evans completed an MSc in Forced Migration at the Oxford University's Refugee Studies Centre in 2005 and is currently doing her PhD in Development Studies at Oxford University. She is researching the impact of child-focused participatory projects on Bhutanese refugee children living in camps in Nepal. Roz has just completed her research fieldwork in Nepal, which she carried out between September 2006 and January 2008.
‘Vulture population declining alarmingly’
Four out of eight species of vulture found in Nepal are included in endangered list of the IUCN- the world conservation union. They are White Rumped (Gyps beldgalensis), Slender Billed (Gyps tenuirostris), Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopteros) and Red headed vulture (Sarcogyps calvus). Additionally, the first two are termed 'critically endangered'.
Susta has become India's colony: Thakur Gaire
 The news reports of encroachment of Nepali territory in Susta region of Nawalparasi district by the Indian side have triggered debates within Nepal. The encroachment is said to have begun in Susta some 40 years ago and it still continues in the southern part of Narayani river where the diversion of the river has left out a large part of Susta VDC across the river, virtually segregating it from Nepali mainland.

 Director of the Center for Nepal Studies, UK, Dr Govinda Dahal, is leading the first-ever survey of the immigrant Nepalese community now residing in the UK. A Ph. D. in Social Statistics/Demography from the University of Southampton, UK, Dahal did his MA in Population Studies (first class first) from the Tribhuvan University.
