Biography of HIS MAJESTY KING GYANENDRA BIR BIKRAM SHAH  DEV

Born :   July 7, 1947 (Asar 23, 2004), Kathmandu. 
Son of : His late Majesty King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah and Her late Royal Highness Crown Princess Indra Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah.
Education : Senior Cambridge from St. Joseph’s Collage, Darjeeling, India (1966); Graduated from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu (1969).
Marital Status :  Married Her Majesty Queen Komal Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah (1970); Son:1, Daughter:1.
Career :  Chairman: Advisory Committee for the Cornation of His late  Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah (1975), King Mahendra  Trust for Nature Conservation (1982-2001), Lumbini Development Trust(1986-1991). Member of Honour: World Wildlife Fund for Nature, Founding Member: 1001-Nature Trust (1986). Ascended the Throne of the Kingdom of Nepal (2001). Supreme Commander of the Royal Nepalese Army. Patron: Royal Nepal Academy of Science of Technology, King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation, Lumbini Development Trust, Pashupati Area Development Trust.Chancellor: Tribhuvan University and Mahendra Sanskrit University.
