Karate dojo in public rest-house

Many so-called neighbourhood sports clubs are taking advantage of Kathmandu’s docile citizens and lax government by capturing any public space they see. The favourite target of these "clubs" are the old public rest-houses which were built with religious and philanthropic intentions. Many rest-houses have been captured and turned into shops.

For example, there is a rest-house at the cremation ghat near the Indrayani temple at Dhalko (on the way to Swayambhu). This place is used to stay in when performing funeral rites and other religious ceremonies. But the place now shows a signboard of some Karate Dojo hanging from the rest-house. What kind of nonsense is this? Should not those who encroach upon public proprieties in this manner be kicked out immediately? These public rest-houses should remain as rest-houses.
