Brain and beauty

This is with reference to the recent world beauty contest held at the dome in London. This is the fourth time in the past seven years that an Indian has got the crown. The sudden and intelligent answers which she gave shows that she is not only a beauty but that she is also intelligent. It is to be noted that her grandmother's advice to her was not to be involved in any indecent stuff. It is nice that though she has travelled all over India and abroad, she has kept her culture intact and that made her stand out from the crowd. These winners now have more to do with strategic plans because past beauty pageants have involved a lot of social service like helping to collect money for services, involving themselves in constructive efforts and so on. If these pageants give proper advice to young upcoming models on the do’s and don’ts in this field, it will safeguard our youngsters. Hope these pageants will produce useful citizens to make the countries of their origin a prosperous one.
