Post Report
KATHMANDU, Dec 21-AFC B License
Coaching Coarse that was organised here at Jawalakhel by Ganesh Thapa led All Nepal
Football Association (ANFA) concluded today.
The three-week long training started on
December 1. There were 20 coaches from various districts who received B
License training course.
Certificates were given away to the coaches
who received the training.
M. Karuthu, the Coach from Asian Football
Confederation (AFC), Malaysia conducted the training at Jawalakhel ground. The training
consisted of both theoretical and practicable football classes.
"Coach education is to bring about the
best of their (coaches) mettle and to produce able flyers," said M. Karuthu, the
Malaysian coach. He further stated that development of football depends upon coach
education and for that certification is essential. M.Karuthu was speaking today at a
closing ceremony held at Staff College, Jawalakhel.
"We had opportunity to learn something
useful and new about football and will share this invaluable experience with our coaching
cadre," said Sujan K.C., the coach of Lalitpur who received the three-week long
coaching coarse.
"We are launching goal project beginning
from February but people are hell bent on spoiling the project," said Ganesh Thapa.
He further said that it was only after a lot of difficulty that we've been allowed to use
the Jawalakhel ground. "If such thing persists, how can we conduct international
match in the larger interest of the nation as AFC is pressing on for which we need
Dashrath stadium," he continued.
He also said that companies like Coca-Cola
and Surya Tobacco companies are slowly drifting away from football scene following the
controversy sorrounding our football.
"We appeal to our people to analyse
themselves of such averse developments in football," said Ganesh Thapa.
Stephen Constantine, national coach for Nepal, FIFA Referees,
and reporters were among others present in the closing ceremony organised here today.
