Acharya wins Yak & Yeti Cup

KATHMANDU, Feb 5- Madhav Acharya won the Yak & Yeti Cup Golf Tournament here today at the Royal Nepal Golf Course.

The day long championship played under Stableford 7/8 handicap, saw Acharya pick up 37 points, which was just enough to get him the championship. He was closely followed in the second position by RR Pandey with 36 points while Best Gross winner went to Chuda B Bhandari who had 35 points to his name.

Similarly, Eu Hajur Thapa, with 27 points to her name was the ladies winner while Mike Zimmermann with 36 points turned out to be junior winner.

There were also prizes for Most Elegant Player, Nearest to the pin #17 and Longest Drive #13. The prizes went to Raj Pradhan, Madhukar Yakthumba and DT Sherpa respectively.

Altogether 59 participants had turned out for the championship.

Yak & Yeti has been organising the tournament every year since 1988.
