Old silver coins unearthed

MAHOTTARI, June 30 (RSS)- Some Indian silver coins have been found buried at the premises of the Janata primary school at Jaleswar municipality ward No 9.

The coins were unearthed by children playing at the school grounds.

Local people who thronged to the site after the children made a commotion on finding the earthen pot containing about 200 coins are said to have taken them away.

The coins dating back to 1947 are though to have belonged to medicants who used to reside there in the past.
