People
involved in bus looting held

MALANGAWA, July 22 - Police have
arrested the people who had looted 400 thousand rupees from passengers of
Kathmandu-Dhankuta bound bus.
According to District Police
Office Sarlahi, five passengers of the bus with plate No Na 1 Kha 9394 had forced the bus
driver to take the bus to a forest of Sagarmatha and looted the passengers about two weeks
ago.
SP Chhokpa Sherpa told The
Kathmndu Post that Mani Lal Gole of Bhaktipur VDC- 2 who had aimed his pistol at the
driver and forced him to drive the bus into the forest, Tirtha Lal Lama of the same VDC
who had made available pistol to Gole and Lakhan Raya Yadav of Haripurva VDC-5 who had
sold the pistol to the accused have been arrested.
Police also recovered some of
the looted items including a camera, 12 watches, 2 gold chains and 312 US dollars from
Mani Lal Gole. Similarly, they also recovered the pistol used in the incident, 2 watches
and 5 thousand rupees of the passengers from Tirtha Lama. In the same way, another pistol
was found from Lakhan Raya Yadav who had sold a pistol to the accused, SP Sherpa
informed.
Police are searching for four
others who were involved in looting the passengers and are still absconding. They are
Kanchha Lama, Prem Bahadur Syangtan, Bir Bahadur Lama and Chatur Man Blown of Bhaktipur
VDC.
