Int’l Seminar on Sports Medicine

KATHMANDU, June 4- Doctors and physicians from Denver, Colorado, United States of America dwelt on length regarding

First Aid given to school children in an international seminar on First Aid (Sports Medicine) conducted here today under the aegis of Baba Boarding High School’s Sports Development Program.

The visiting doctors from the United States--Dr Hugh King, Dr Wendy Hurr, Dr Lynda Grant and Dr Kathi Hire--all gave valuable suggestions in treating soft tissue injuries, twisted ankle, ankle and elbow injuries, sprain and fractures and other numerous injuries.

The visiting doctors took help of some practical demonstration and audio visual methods in the program chaired by Dr Manohar Lal Shrestha, an eminent physician of the country.

Shyamal Pal, Technical Director of Baba Boarding High school urged all the participating trainers and coaches from various school not to hold any sporting event without a first aid box close at hand.

The program also honoured Magda King, a social activist who is running a school at Yarmasing, near Tatopani in Sindhupalchowk district for the deprived people.
