28 passengers wounded in road accident

NUWAKOT, June 17 - Twenty-eight
passengers of a bus have been injured, three of them seriously, in an accident involving a
passenger bus and a truck at Pipaltar of Pasang Lhamu Highway on Saturday morning.
The passenger bus, Dipmala
travels, plate No Na 2 Kha 3372 was going from Trishuli to Kathmandu. It collided with a
truck with plate No Na 2 Kha 3480 which was coming from Kathmandu to Trishuli, according
to Nuwakot District Police Office.
The injured people were taken to
Trishuli Hospital in Nuwakot for treatment, DSP Pitambar Adhikari said.
Of the three passengers who were
seriously injured in the accident, Uddhav Mudbhari of Bidur Municipality ward No 6 is in
critical condition. He has been sent to Bir Hospital, Kathmandu for treatment, according
to chief of Trishuli Hospital Dr Sushil Nath Pyakurel.
High speed driving on the road
which is not fit for such speed has been attributed to the cause of the accident. DSP
Pitambar Adhikari has said truck driver Krishna Sherpa has been arrested and kept in
police custody for necessary action.
