Inter school football kicks off

KATHMANDU, June 23 - The inter-school football tournament,
marking the 30th Birthday of Crown Prince, kicked off at All Nepal Football Association
complex, Satdobato on Friday.
The tournament organised by ANFA under the programme of
Birthday Celebration Committee was inaugurated by the member-secretary of NSC, Binod
Shankar Palikhe.
ANFA Academy ‘A’ scored a convincing 5-0 win over
Kathmandu Valley School in the opening match. Bijay Gurung opened the ANFA ‘A’
account on two minutes and were 4-0 up before half-time through the goals from Gaurav
Thapa (18th min), Anjan KC (30th min), Suraj Joshi (36th min). And Saugat Subba completed
their emphatic win, scoring in the 75th minute.
Likewise in the other match of the day, a 61st minute goal
from Chandra Thapa helped Gyanodaya Bal Batika overcome the challenge of Birendra Army
School.
