NASeA meet to be held

KATHMANDU, June 25 - The first International Convention of
Nepalese Associations, hosted by the Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) is
to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on July 1-3, 2000.
According to a press release issued here today the
distinguised guests from the USA and Nepal will address the convention.
Among speakers from USA include Chip Carter, President of
Frienship- Force Organization and son of former President Jimmy Carter.
Invited Nepalese speakers include former Prime Minister Sher
Bahadur Deuba, as chief guest, Parliamentarian of the main opposition party, Jhal Nath
Khanal and Ambassadors Damodar Gautam and Murari Raj Sharma.
Various sessions are planned for discussing issues of common
interest. Many distinguished artists from Nepal and from around the world will be
performing cultural programs.
According to the President of the hosting asssociation,
NASeA, Dr. Ramesh Acharya, the convention will be a milestone in fostering unity of
Nepalese living outside Nepal.
The convention Chairman Dr. Bishwa Acharya appealed to all
Nepalese and friends of Nepal to join the convention and make the convention a grand
success.
